A helping hand
You're a monster living in darkness, but you've become friends (perhaps more) with a mage prisoner in the dungeon where you live.
Help her escape by guiding her through the level and fighting off the horde of undead that runs the place.
This is my submission for the GodotWildJam#64, on the subject of illumination. It fits the theme with the light being an important part of the gameplay. It also applies the "blood is fuel" wildcard, by allowing the character to heal in the darkness.
Controls :
all controls are configurable in the options.
Arrows : Forward, backward and jump
Space: take action
A: attack
Escape: return to the main menu
Menu use mouse
Credits :
- Music: "Retro Mystic", "Sad Descent" and "Game Over" from Kenney asset pack
- Sound effects: all coming from the Kenney asset pack, except for the glass sound (from Charlie_raven on Pixabay) and the zombie sound I made with my mouth.
- Sprites: All sprites are for me, except the zombie sprites from Kenney's asset pack. I also used Kenney's Asset Forge to make the tileset.
- code: I used Evpevdev's "platformerController2D" script for the movements. Otherwise, everything was coded during the jam.
Install instructions
if you do not want to play in the browser, you can download the zip file containing a .exe and .pck file.
