
Delivery Bot
The story
In the future, humanity realized the cool sight of a robot surfing on rails produced enough energy to power a civilization.
So they upgraded their humble delivery bot with knowledges of wheel sports, and created circular rail that could be used to refuel their city whenever.
You are one such robot, tasked with both delivering product to your client, but also recharging the "loop" that bring power to the city. But watch out for cars, electric charges, and the permanent pressure of time.
Controls
(I recommend using the arrows for movements, in case the compatibility between WASD controls and ZQSD controls cause an issue)
UP/Z/W -> forward
Left/Right or Q/D or A/D -> Turn
Down or S -> brake
E -> Dash
A or Q -> Surf rail
Escape -> leave
How to play
There are 2 types of missions : delivery and charging.
Delivery just involve going to a defined point in the imparted time
Charging involve reaching the loop that is depleted, and start surfing on it to charge it, until it's at 100%. You need to destroy the energy spikes (the big color block) to not be ejected prematurely
After completing a mission, you gain a bit of money. You need to reach 250$ to wing. You can also find money in various boxes and lose change around the level
The Team
Delivery Bot is a game created by Toboshiro, Aankh and Fefeman for the GMTK game jam, under the theme of loops.
Toboshiro did the character design and music, Aankh the concept arts and modeling, and Fefeman the programming and integration.
